Hi, I’m Monica! Originally from the Central Valley, I moved to the Bay Area to pursue my B.F.A. in Graphic Design at San José State University. Moving from a small town to Silicon Valley was such a huge change but it was one that made such a positive impact in my life with all the wonderful connections I have made through college and work.
Since I was young, I submerged myself in my drawings and paintings, which allowed my imagination to run wild. When I discovered graphic design, I knew this was the career path I wanted to pursue because it integrated my love of art and craft in a more meaningful and impactful way. As I entered the design field post-graduation, I ventured into the vast world of web and UX design. This discovery of how I can combine the two disciplines has helped me see how I can produce exceptional and well-designed user experiences that are most importantly, accessible to all.
